Authentic Beauty
This was inspired by Young gentleman at Target who was just saying some of the worst things about women let's just say I confronted him
## Authentic Beauty
---
Let’s talk about the mirrors for a second.
We spend half our lives staring into them, don’t we?
Zooming in on the flaws, picking apart the pieces, trying to figure out if we fit into whatever impossible mold the world decided was “perfect” this week.
But the mold is a joke. It’s a trick of the light, a filtered lie on a screen.
And it’s time we stop letting a piece of glass dictate the value of the women standing in front of it.
I’m looking at the real women today.
The ones who wear a size 2, the ones rocking a size 22, and every single beautiful, breathing curve in between.
I’m talking about the woman pushing her glasses up the bridge of her nose while she grades papers at midnight, making sure the next generation has a chance.
I’m talking about the woman popping in her contacts before she walks a high-fashion runway, carrying the weight of an entire industry’s gaze.
The barista pulling double shifts. The CEO commanding the boardroom. The stay-at-home mom making absolute miracles out of a chaotic Tuesday morning.
Society loves to obsess over the packaging.
And don’t get me wrong—outer beauty is real. It turns heads. It makes a great first impression.
But what’s the point of a turned head if the heart doesn’t make them want to stay?
Physical beauty is just the introduction. It’s the cover of the book.
The actual story? The substance? That’s all happening underneath the surface.
Because here is the raw, uncut truth:
True beauty is a frequency. It’s a vibration.
You can literally feel it when an authentically beautiful woman walks into a room.
It’s the energy radiating from within.
It’s the way she listens when someone else is hurting, even if her own world is feeling incredibly heavy that day.
It’s that loud, throw-your-head-back laugh that she doesn’t try to stifle or hide just to look “polite.”
It’s the fierce, protective fire that flashes in her eyes when she’s defending the people she loves.
Have you ever met someone who maybe didn’t fit the rigid, magazine definition of “pretty,” but the absolute second they started speaking, they became the most stunning person in the entire room?
That’s the soul doing the talking.
That is the spirit shining right through the skin.
You can’t buy that in a makeup aisle. You can’t filter that on an app. You have to build that in the quiet, hard moments of life.
You know what is genuinely gorgeous?
Compassion. Hustle. Empathy. Grit.
A woman who knows her worth and doesn’t feel the need to step on anybody else’s shoulders just to stand tall.
Women who have been dragged through the mud, who have had their hearts broken and their spirits tested, but who still wake up and choose to put goodness back into the world.
That kind of resilience? It alters your DNA. It paints a permanent glow on you that no anti-aging cream could ever replicate.
Think about the women who actually changed your life.
Your grandmother, your mother, your sister, that one best friend who held you together when you were falling apart.
When you picture them, do you think about their waistline? Do you care if they had perfect symmetry in their face?
No.
You remember exactly how they made you *feel*.
You remember the absolute warmth of their spirit. You remember the safe space they created just by existing.
So, to every woman reading this, it’s time to stop apologizing for the space you take up.
Stop shrinking yourself down, changing your voice, or quieting your storm just to be considered acceptable.
Your authenticity *is* your beauty. It’s your fingerprint. It is entirely, undeniably yours, and nobody else can replicate your specific kind of magic.
Wear your glasses. Rock your contacts. Strut down the runway, or walk proudly down the hallway of your school.
Just make sure that wherever you walk, you are leading with your heart.
